Hi everyone!
I just tried playing Rayman in DOSBox without using the cd. So I created a CUE/BIN from my cd in Ashampoo Burning Studio which resulted in lots of noise. Then I read that it works if you do it with UltraISO, so I did that and it really helped. 😀

The only problem now is:
- If I play the game with the cd the speed of the game is normal.
- If I use the CUE/BIN the speed of the game changes which makes it unplayable. It changes between normal speed and too fast speed.

This is the code in the config:

mount d "c:\program files (x86)\rayman"
imgmount e "c:\program files (x86)\rayman\cd\rayman.cue" -t iso

I hope someone can help me.

Greetings
BoxerT

EDIT: I changed the cpu option "core=auto" to "core=normal" and now it runs with normal speed again. Don't know why I had to change that now though.

EDIT2: Sometimes after dying the game runs too fast, then I have to die again to have the normal speed again.

try with core=auto and fixed cycles, like cycles=25000

go to game options -> ''graphics details'' and set frequency from 60 to 50.

well there is a better way that i just found
you can set your cycles to auto like before and still play normally on pretty 60 frames per second
to fix the speed problems you just have to go to dosbox config and change machine from s3 to vesa_nolfb which is the 256colors on 640x480 that games were used too back then

This has been mentioned before.
Rayman speed issues

As I said there, Rayman seems to have issues on real hardware as well.

Maybe one of you can update the compatibility list accordingly.
