Ok so I have a game that I want to run, Jet Fighter III. I have the original CD and I tried to follow a post from a website that said to mount an image to a folder within dosbox. Everytime I try to eddit it, I get:

This Operation is not permitted in secure mode.

I tried running dosbox on d-fend reload and thats what I get. If I run dosbox straight without d-fend I can mount the image but then theres way to set sound music or joystick. And for some reason when I try to play the game I get errors within the game saying files are missing yet I had the game installed. I'm at a loss here getting this game to work 😒.

don't use dfend reloaded.
secure mode is not default by dosbox.

The problem with not using d-fend is that when I load the game up nothign works right. I can get to some of the screens but no sound no music despite when I installed the game the sound worked. I can't even fly any missions says cloud image missing no mission found. I don't know what to do about that either.

Define what you mean by the guides? A specific guide for that particular game, or a general guide for all types of games?
