No plans as of yet. I tend to buy 2 or more items to save a bit on postage / have a backup incase I break something.

just like 90% of the people here, 🤣!
Except many have a backup-backup and a backup-backup-backup 😜

I happen to find a rare and elusive Supertek V3000-16 board. 😁 This one is powered by a V3 2000 chip running at the standard 143/143. Ran some 3Dmark benchies and scores were virtually identical to a 3Dfx Voodoo 3 2000.

Won this for only 3 euros! But had to add postage from Germany...

Let's hope it's fully Roland MPU401 compatible

Do a test with Police Quest 3 😀

Will do...

But I need to wait for another CF card. I blew up the old one 😖

I tried using a 2.5 > 3.5 adapter and a 2.5" IDE to CF adapter and all I got was a burning smell 🙁

So I ordered 2 2GB CF cards, same model as the last one and a 4 GB model, also same brand as last one, but this one is twice as fast.

More bits...

My ATX PSU which I use for my project only only has a single floppy power connector. So I got this:

I also got brand new S370 coolers. Hoping that one of these fit onto Super Socket 7 as well. I went with 3 models with various fan sizes...

Thanks to Takitoes from OCAU (Australias busiest PC Hardware community) I got this Philips 15" LCD Monitor for 10 bucks!

Picked it up this morning. Very happy 😁

4:3 aspect ratio and 1024 x 768 pixels. Nice Full Screen all the way to the edges for 320 x 200 games.

Moving my widescreen back and forth was a pain. Now I can play with my Retro PC whenever I like and can use the Desktop as well.

Wow LCDs are already retro? 🤣

...but I'd buy it for 10 smackers too, nice deal.

Just about every weekend I get my 100+ pound 22" Diamontron out and play some Unreal Tournament 2004 online. LCDs just lack that buttery smooth liquid fast responsiveness that a CRT is capable of.

Other then that one game, I'm totally in love with my Dell 24" Ultrasharp and use it for everything else. I put it away during the week cause it's like a black hole on my desk.

My eyes are dodgy enough.

We have pretty much the same Philips monitor... mine gets some odd wavy lines a couple times a day. 😒

Hey quick question. Doing some benching now on an open bench and I noticed that my TNT2 cards are very hot.

I have a TNT2 Value 32MB and a TNT2 M64 16MB. They are scorching hot, can't touch it. I am using the M64 now as it has a larger heatsink and doesn't get quit as hot as the TNT2 Value.

I take it this is normal and I just need to "harden up"

HP LP2065 is my #1 choice for 4:3 LCD (1600x1200), it has an IPS panel so viewing angle is good. Just keep it on your watch list 😉

Unfortunately it's hard to find one used here and a new one is more expensive than a 22" HD ZR22W (IPS panel too) so i can't justify getting it new 😐
