Can anyone help....

First off thanks for making a great Dosbox!!

My question of the day is........Since I have multiple dos games (ultima III, gunship2000, bards tale and wizardry)
and they use different settings (speed, ega/svga, mem) how can I set up a one click operation for each game?

My first go at this was using a string like this:

mount E E:\games\dos

which required me to type in each Dir for whatever game I wanted to play, also I need to go into the config file for each game
and change the settings too.

my second go around was a little harder, it was to install dosbox into each Dir and use a string like this:

mount E E:\games\dos\ultima\ultima3
E:
ultima3

then I changed the dosbox exec icon to the Ultima III icon, then when I click on the U3 icon, dosbox opens and U3 plays.

the biggest problem with this method is each install takes up 4.5MB of memory for each game..
considering I'm on a laptop I would like to cut down on memory usage.

got any ideas guys..

Read the documentation and the config file. You must search for two things:

- How to select a config file from command line.
- How to put some commands in config file so they're run when starting dosbox.

I have traveled across the universe and through the years to find Her.
Sometimes going all the way is just a start...

I'm selling some stuff!

You can create shortcuts to DOSBox that specify different dosbox.conf files depending on which game you want to run, and each different dosbox.conf file can have different settings and commands needed to run the corresponding game.

Also, you're probably going to find games that don't expect to be run from drive E. You should be mounting things as drive C instead.

And this is disk space, not memory.
