Hi I'm having a little trouble with the mouse in dosbox. Feel free to ignore this issue because of my wierd hardware though:

I'm running dosbox on Ubuntu (linux kernel version 2.6.35-22-generic)
Which is running in a VMware player window
Which is running in Windows 7 on a 64 bit AMD processor

When I run two games I downloaded I have this mousing issue. (Megatraveller 2, Syndicate) When the mouse is moved slowly and as long as I don't touch the edges of the screen it works fine. If I do touch the edge of the screen then the mouse zips over to one of the corners of the dosbox window. I can move it back onto the screen from there, but the zipping issue makes pushing a button on the edge of the screen a bit like playing "Operation". I don't have the issue when I run in Windows 7 of course. Everything works fine there. Does anyone else running linux or Ubuntu have an issue like this?

Thanks,
O2

I've only had mouse speeds changed when the resolution changes after I fullscreen. It's worse with differing screen aspects like 320x400. This is in a real Ubuntu.

Sounds like a "VMWare sucks" problem outside of DOSBox's control. Can be xorg or SDL related too.

The real question is, why are you running dosbox in a vm instead of running it natively?

Yeah, I just wanted to see how dosbox builds and operates in ubuntu. Its really cool that it can build in windows or linux! thanks for the responses.
