Okay, here's a doozie...
How can I load a custom soundfond (or one I download for that matter) into this card from DOS only.
In the manual it tells you to go into win95 and load the soundfont. I want to load a 12MB Utopia SF2 into the cards expansion SIMMs for use in pure dos. Can anyone help me out!!! Thanks!
A Utility called AWEPLAY can do it, but not permanently, only to play MIDI files - that's all I've learned so far.
So lets say I install Win95. I load in the sound font. When I reboot into pure DOS mode, will it stay loaded? Last time I checked, SIMMs were not NVRAM...
I've never heard of a 12MB Utopia soundfont, BTW - do you have a link to it? (I've only heard of the extremely large ones)
It's a commercial prodoct. Utopia Live soundfont. It only cost $15, there is also a 30 or 40mb ver that I have set up on my audigy. It was worth evey penny...
