Hiya!

I was looking at random youtube DOS videos, when I saw a compilation of games that had this one:

I remember playing that lots back in the day on my 386sx BUT I cannot remember it's name anymore 😢
Anyone remembers it? I am almost certain it was a shareware game...
thanks! 😁

This one reminds me of Galactix (w/VGA+SB support) :

Personally I never liked it since I was already spoiled by VGA and Sound Blaster by 1992. I couldn't stand the PC speaker anymore for a while then 🙁

Cool, I always liked Overkill for some reason. I think it was slower paced than many shooters, so it wasn't as difficult for me 😀

Yeah, I think it supports Adlib/OPL2 and MT-32/LAPC-I music.

damn you are right! I was hearing LAPC-I mono music... forcing AdLib with /A gives stereo FM music...
the Roland track is not anything special, I thought it was FM.... 🤣

edit: I am such a &^%#^&%#* , the jack was plugged half-way in the LAPC-I , everything was mono 😲 😵 😜 😅

Hey, that "/R" is pretty cool for such an old Epic Megagames game 😀 Anyone know of any other Epic games of the era that supported that (IIRC, they were all Adlib)?

I think Overkill is different because it was programmed by someone else and published by Epic.

That's kinda what I was thinking.
