Hello, Im an old school user of 3D-Studio.

Using Dosbox to run it, I can only get it to work in 65k colours.
Is there a way to get it to work in full 24-bit. Ive tryed dozens of options, Both in Vibcfg and Dosbox. I cant get it to work.

None of the VESA modes in Vibcfg work past 65K colours. All the resoulutions work.

Is there a tweek to get this to work in 16.7 milion, Or was I just waisting my time.

I downloaded a trial of 3DS-Max 2010, but Im too lazy to learn it yet.
Everything I do can be done in a DOS version, Which I almost know fairly well.

Can some one help me please 😀

Cheers
- Dan

Have you tried Hal's megabuild for some of those extra video modes and chipset features? That's a good start.

Stock DOSbox probably doesn't have a lot of support for 24-bit modes I don't think. The only major game to use such color depth is Grand Theft Auto and even then it's quite unstable.

Dunno if that's the issue but DOSBox only supports 32 bit per pixel, not 24.
