I installe vdmsound (newest version) and the launchpad, too.
But both seem not to work correctly. What shall I do?
How to install it in a proper way?

If you are running WinXP, make sure you have administrative rights.

Ok, well the "newest version would be 2.10. Since that includes launchpad, it souds like your saying that installed 2.10, then installed launchpad on top of it. That, in itself, would be a problem.

But both seem not to work correctly. What shall I do?

Way too vague... Give details, list any error messages, etc,... Saying that something is going wrong and asking why (without any details) is like me asking you why my car "isn't working right".

How to install it in a proper way?

That would depend on your OS and the program's version number. Neither of which you have provided. Please do so.

No I think I understand this man's pain also. When I go to install the VDMSound 2.0.4 I recieve an error message stating:

Error1316. A network error occured while attempting to read from the file C:\Documents and Settings\VDMSound-2.0.4-WinNT-386[1].msi

I am currently running an AMD Athalon XP Processor and cannot seem to get past this error. If anyone out there can help me in any way it would be greatly appreciated.

Use 2.1.0 instead of 2.0.4.

Yes, it’s my fault.
