I'm trying to get the DOS version of "Guts 'n' Garters in DNA Danger" installed. I'm able to mount my image and start the DOS install (i.e. DATA1\ENGLISH\MINSTALL.EXE). However, post confirming the install location, and creating initial directories the following error occurs...

"Could not determine the size of one of the files that is needed.
Press any key..."

I tried using the freesize parameter on the C: mount to provide more available disk space /w no effect.

Does anyone have suggestions to install this game?

-DOSBox Version: .74

If the README in the root of the CD specifically says it's for Win95, it won't work for DOS. Some of the DOS files were apparently left laying around on the Win95 disc, but it's crippled for DOS by the absence of an appropriate executable. You can check this by seeing if DATA1\DOS.CFL file is zero bytes, but DATA1\WIN.CFL is non-zero. Those files are the main executables in compressed format, and a zero size for the DOS executable confuses the DOS installer.

Thanks Ripsaw. Thought I'd be able to get it working in DOSBox when I found the DOS install, but you are right that the other DOS related content is zeroed out.

Ripsaw - this thread here suggests that this guy got it working to some degree, although it is hard to tell exactly as he seems a bit confused himself:
problem with a game

I'm also seeing screenshots taken using dosbox in various places.

edit: I can confirm there is a cd version of this game w/ a working dos installer on it.
