I remember seeing this on the internet back around the turn of the century, when those video chipsets were hot stuff.... and 256MB was actually a gargantuan amount of video memory 😜 Most PC's didn't even have that much system RAM then 🤣

It features the same kind of connections as Voodoo2 so i think SLI is possible. 😉

Just imagine 512MB and pure multi chip rendering graphics. Crysis, watch out! 😁

Personally, I'm partial to the quad GeForce 3. Hell it might beat the entire GeForce FX line. 😁

Now we are talking! I sure hope they are not FX5800 Ultra chips... I just can imagine the 1500W PSU and those freaking annoying coolers... :wink

EDIT #1 - I see no extra power supply connector... Could this card be a fake one? 😜

Ooops yeah I posted that one too but decided afterward to just do one at a time. But there it is the GeForce5 that we should have had. 😁

Will that picture never die, sigh. I was just looking through the original magazine it was posted in the other day. Forget which one it was at this point though.

Well saying those are based off the VSA-100 chips, you need about 480watt powersupply just for the videocard, The Voodoo Volts was only rated about 200watts. So 3 Voodoo Volts should be needed in this case (remember fans are needed as well!), so that Voodoo is obviously a fake 😉

What has ever worked out for that huge spanner anyways 😉

I love clarkson too, pls don't flame me 😁 Can't believe this season is already over 😢

Should figure out the power draw for that huge mother, it's way over AGP spec for sure.

Well yeah, the standard Voodoo 5 6000 with only 4 VSA chips was over AGP spec, that's the whole reason for the Voodoo Volts 😀

Back around 2003ish I was a member of a forum with a bloke who claimed to have a prototype Voodoo 5 6000 and carried on about how awesome it was, supposedly better than the Geforce 4 and Radeon 9700 which were top end cards at the time.
I suspect he was just a troll, or not a very bright individual though, judging by some of his claims...

EDIT: what do you know I managed to dig one of his threads up http://archive.atomicmpc.com.au/forums.asp?s= … oo&u=elvisalive

Yep, the V5 6k draws typically 50-60watts full load.

I'm referring to the Bitchin'Fast 3D 2000 and its 5 video processors. I already figured most of the 3Dfx card I quoted in my last post.

🤣 do you remember him as well?

What was the verdict over there, did they think he was trolling or just... 'misguided'? 🤣

more like delusioned. Reminds me of 96% of Dreamcast fanboys. Sometimes they even intertwine for a double dose of delusion.

A Voodoo5 6000 is as DX9 compliant as a Voodoo Banshee is

If he was a troll or gimmick he was definitely one of the most determined that I've ever seen, he stuck with it for a very long time. That's why people were seriously thinking that maybe he actually believed what he was saying...
