Hi to all !!! My name is Emanuele, from Italy.
In these days I'm trying to make a good Win95 HardDisk Image for install and use old PC DOS Games and old Windows 95/98 Games, like Diablo, that don't work on new Microsoft Windows System, like Win7.
All is goog. DOSBox is a great emulator and every new version make it more stable and compatible. But, I'm a noob 🤣 and I meet some problems during the installation of Win95 on this HD DOS emualted.
The problems are the follow:
- Defrag and Scandisk problems (anyone have a solution for make these utilities to work ?)
- During the normal Win95 installation, the system tell me that it can't write in the destination hard disk (any solution ?)

I'm very sorry for my bad english. I hope that all you can understand and can help me.

Thanx for all and have fun !!! Bye bye !!!

🤣 !!! OK, I will follow your idea, but, if DOSBox emulate all 386 Hardware, if they can emulate games, isn't the same with programs ?
The call to all x86 instruction is the same. Or not ?
Thanx for reply !!!
🤣

Use something else like virtual PC.

DOSBox is for DOS games. Diablo is not a DOS game. By the way Diablo can't work in DOSBox anyway even if you tried, as it requires the CD to play, and DOSBox can not emulate CD-ROM drives in their complete virtual device glory.
