I don't only have this problem with Scorched Earth 1.5 (Mother of all games) but I also have had it with Transport Tycoon.

To explain the sound problem I have, imagine someone blowing a firecracker just behind your ears, as this firecracker blows you have a sort of noise in your ear going for at least 10 minutes afterwards, you know this kind of noise?

Its not "dirty" noise, its actually quite clean but it is very loud and it is ruining the gaming experience, this noise transfer to the video if I try to capture the game.

This noise activates when the game does something that requires sound, as soon as this sound if finished playing the noise goes away too.

Can anyone recommend a fix to this?
