The 3.25" disk version of Space Hulk hangs on the title screen as the Warhammer 40,000 logo appears. It's possible to skip past the title screen before the hang occurs. There's is a second hang point when 4 terminators are shown prior to the Genestealer attack. It also hangs at the end of a mission when a voice over praises on your success.

When it hangs the sound loops and DOSBox goes into window mode showing a black screen.
Then I have to open Task Manager and end DOSBox as nothing else will close it.

Tested in DOSBox 0.73 with no hangs. The issue appears to be specific to DOSBox 0.74.
The CD version of Space Hulk didn't hang. The issue appears to be specific to the floppy version.

If these hangs are coincident with a message in the console about DMA segbound wrapping, it's a known issue. But I think the devs still like to get reports about occurances of the wrapping.

With current source there is no hang or error exit. The console messages are:
"DMA segbound wrapping (read): ?0000:10000 size 1 [0] wrap ffff"
Where ? == 1, 2, 3, or 4

ems=emm386 appears to eliminate the wrapping.

The message I see is:
"Exit to error: DMA segbound wrapping (read)"

I have the same problem here: Hulk hangs at some points, more when at the end of a mission, when a voice praises the success. This only occurs using 0.74 version. With 0.73 version I've got no hang issue.

Question1: do you have a workaround for 0.74 version?
Question2: do you know the settings for config.sys concerning EMS memmory, i. e., EMM386's parameters if I run the game in a real DOS (version Win98) enviroment? Not under windows98, but at command prompt, before GUI. I remember that running under real DOS I'd never had problems.

With 0.73 version I've got no hang issue.

Then use 0.73
