I have this card in my Pentium 2 300Mhz. I mostly run DOS on this machine, but I also have Windows 98 SE installed. The card performs well in DOS bust in 98 it keeps refreshing the resolution (like when you actually change the resolution purposely). It will do it sometimes when clicking on the start menu or when opening a window etc. It is a fresh Windows 98 installation with Direct X 8.1. I got the driver for the card from the legacy section on the Nvidia website. The operating system is also unstable and will sometimes freeze or give me blue screens. I didn't get this behavior until I installed this driver. Is there a different driver I should be using? I don't think the card is faulty because I have two of these cards and they both do the exact same thing. I don't see any conflicts in device manager.
If I can't get this card to behave I have a Matrox G2+/SDA/8BN/20 (anybody know what Matrox card this actually is). Would this be a good card for this system?
