The worst they could be are TNT2's (what? nVidia cards in a Q3d box?Yes! Later Q3D arcade boxes did have TNT2 video.) , and that's still not bad. It's the cases that are worth most of the money. The insides were made with mostly off the shelf parts that you could buy anywhere. The only arcade or simulation boxes that they made that had rare video cards in them were the earlier Heavy Metal ones that had things like Obsidian2 SBi 200's, and those are worth more as individual cards than he's asking for these whole systems. The later AAlchemy ones with 4 or 8 VSA-100 cores were also pretty rare, but still used standard motherboards and other parts. I'm sure he's well aware of what he's selling and there's not likely to be anything more rare than a V3 or Banshee in them.

I've actually been trying to find video cards on ebay with the same configuration of VGA and S-video ports on them but haven't found one yet of any of the 3DFX or TNT2 cards I've seen.

The layout of the videocard is almost like my Compaq Voodoo 3 3000 with higher clocks..... Except the compaq vga/s-vid on closer to the pci slot.

I just was watching a Quantum SBI 200 go for 139.99 on ebay!! pretty expensive!! I had no use for it so didn't bid on it.

It was one of the rare 125mhz ones on the green PCB, too. That's probably why.

Nothing from Q3D or 3DFX that shows up on ebay ever gets by me without at least a look. 😁

I'm wondering though, these rare 3DFX cards seem to be trickling onto ebay at a rate of at least one every two or three months lately. There was a boxed S12 a couple of months ago and a boxed X24 a couple of months before that. Someone also had a case full of 10mb arcade boards recently. There's even been at least two V5 6000's in the last year that I can recall and a few AAlchemy's. Could one of the big collectors like Dodge Garage be liquidating some of his spares?
