Hey, does anyone have drivers for Digispeech (or DSP Solutions) Portable Sound Plus? There are 2 floppies but my first one is dead and I can't read it.
For how don't know what's this device is - it is a Speaker for a Parallel port. Supposed to be compatible with SB.

I wonder if this is just a Covox Speech Thing clone?

In which case, attached driver will give some SB compatibility in DOS.

No, it's not a Covox Speech Thing.

I didn't say it was, I said it might be a clone, like Disney Sound Source and friends.

But doing some reading, it seems like it can do 16 bit audio and AdLib, so it's clearly more advanced than the aforementioned devices.

Given this, it sounds fairly interesting, let us know how you get on.

SB and Adlib compatibility is emulated in the drivers. I'd like to see how many games would work:)

I did try googling for the drivers. But this device is too old and there are nothing in the Web.
If it works it would be a very usefull device for a laptop without ISA sound card.

The first link from a Google search. You didn't look very hard if you missed that.

Your Google-fu lacks follow-through, Grasshopper. Despite the name and description, that driver package appears to be for an entirely different product. 😉

In any event, here is a v4.0 driver package (supporting Win95):

And, here is a set of v2.0 disk images:

Why would I bother to download it? I'm not the one who needs it. And what in the following description suggests it would be anything else?

Description: DigiSpeech Portable Sound and Portable Sound Plus driver. DigiSpeech Sound Card Drivers. digispch.exe (For Win95) This site maintains listings of sound card drivers available on the web, organized by company. Includes links to useful resources.
Keywords: DigiSpeech Portable Sound and Portable Sound Plus driver, DigiSpeech Sound Card Drivers, digispch.exe,Not Specified,For Win95, sound drivers, audio

If what's inside the download isn't what's described on the page with the link it's not my fault.

Because if you're going to be condescending, you need to at least be right. 😉
