When I press UP LEFT or UP RIGHT (in keyboard or USB joystick) the game character don't jump to the side.

In fact I can only Jump straight UP so I can't play the game with this problem.

I have tried with PC keyboard, joystick and with a older version of DOSBox but the problem still remains. I have tested in a PC runing Windows XP and in a Notebook runing Windows 7 both using DOSBox 0.74. In all cases the problem remains.

I have tested a lot of other DOS games and they run perfectly.

Please help me. I really want to play this game and I like to fix my PCs to work fine.

I don't think those key combinations work, at least not in the PC version of Flashback. You can do a forward jump in the direction you're facing by pressing SHIFT+UP. That works for standing jumps or running jumps, because you hold down SHIFT to run and press UP when you want to make a long jump. It's in the game's manual, of course.

Many thanks ripsaw8080 you solved the problem. I have tested it and I can do a forward jump by pressing SHIFT + UP.
