I have done everything as was said in wikipedia tutorial. But program dosbox failed I typed last thing (mygame.exe). Error was this ' this program cannot be run in DOS mode'. What can I do?
DOSBox only runs DOS games.

Run it in windows, perhaps in a 32bit Windows flavor
all is available for me is win7. no xp.
W7 is available in 32bit 😉
Or install Windows 3.1 in Dosbox but you need a valid license for that 😉
ps: the command would be lagsters not lagsters.exe
(but maybe dosbox accepts that)
ps: the game is from 2004 not exactly old and certainly wouldn't run in win 3.1

Of course dosbox accepts running an executable with the .exe extension included,
but if you read the thread closely it's still a windows executable.
lagsters aint that old but it doesnt work fine on win7. just on xp.
and my system is 32-bit, but error still appears.
and about that .exe thing. You can take the games icon and drop it on the dosbox, same as programming stuff. Error still appears as in the image.

You don't get it... Don't run the game in Dosbox. DOSBOX CAN'T RUN THIS GAME...
Dosbox is for dos games not Windows games. This is a Windows game.
As long as you keep on trying to run this gamewith dosbox you will see this error. ALWAYS!

Depends on what game this actually is and what happens when you try to run it on W7
its lagsters. game from original CD. I played it on XP. When I try to start there appears a massage 'register xml error' and nothing happens.
Try installing it in Compatibility Mode.
