Who'd want it 😀 My speakers now need to be repaired! Some bits look good but others (pinky model especially) look poor.
That's JDoom with a high resolution pack. Somehow the Doom guy ended up looking like a douche in the render 😒
maybe it is RISEN3D ?

That's Doomsday / JDoom with some poorly chosen add-ons applied to it.
I've never seen a good 'remodel/retexture' project for an id game ever. Totally destroys the atmosphere and often looks cheesy. I'll stick to my pixely old Doom over poor attempts at bringing it into a so-called 'modern' third dimension (not very modern when you use THE FRICKING MD2 MODEL FORMAT now is it)

there is one project leileilol , may I present to you the Quake ReForged project?

their stuff are just AWESOME. Combine that with the Quake Retexturing project packs and DarkPlaces engine and you got your self an awesomely facelifted game similar to the original.

Anyone ever try the Tenebrae engine for Quake 1? While it's not Doom, it does make Q1 look like Doom 3! Cool bumpmapping and all that. I can't seem to find the files now though, the page and links are kinda dead. 🙁
Edit: afterthought @keropi, That Quake Reforged link is AWESOME! I guess Tenebrae would be good for those people looking for something like "classic Quake with a slight facelift." I gotta try that port out!

Tenebrae sucks, it pains me to see that suggested at all anymore.

You're right, Dark Places blows that out of the water- I've been playing "plain Quake" for too long

One of the problems with re-texturing projects is that most of the people behind them are pretty much completely talentless and exceptionally lazy. They take the original texture, apply a series of ugly filters/scalers and bang, that's your "high-res" texture, very little hand work if any at all.
Vogons, didn't you see the ReForged project I posted above? hardly lazy....

"most" actually means "most", not "all"
Damn! I need some new speakers after that one! 🙁

That Doom mod looks fun. Reminds me of the "Alien Trilogy" I used to own on the Playstation 1. It was almost like a Dark Forces meets Aliens type game. The music on the PSX version was terrific too.
