Hi! I just got DOSBox today and I love it! But I want to have the full visual experience of DOS using this emulator, I used to play DOS games when I was younger (Maybe 4 thru 8 years old). So I don't exactly remember how close to DOS I can make it look. I'm using a netbook right now but I never take it anywhere, so I dug up my old 15" CRT monitor, it has a default display of 1280x1024, but I was thinking maybe to have DOSBox run at either 640x480 or 800x600. I also want to know what scaler would look the best, since it's a CRT monitor, would RGB2/3x look more retro or TV2/3x? I would imagine RGB but like I said, I'm 17 now, my memory isn't too clear on how it looks.

I also need to note that the monitor for some reason is too dim, I usually use the gamma adjust that's on Skulltag (Modern Online Doom Port) but I can't find a gamma adjustment on this emulator.

Since it's a CRT, I'd like to use fullresolution=original on those, without a scaler. This is how it's 'intended' to look, older computer CRTs only had phosphor/refresh rate quirks you can't emulate right now.

Scalers wouldn't really add much 'simulation' to the retro look on a CRT, plus it'll look even darker with them anyhow. I guess it varies on the kind of grille aperture you grew up with back in the day.

TV3X is cool on a LCD though

fullresolution=original would change the emulator's resolution automatically depending on the game/program right? I haven't looked into the config yet.
