I seen AMD used to have a page that showed games that supported 3dnow! but is now gone. Just thought it would be good to know what games may benefit from certain extensions.

I don't really know. Either there are games that can use it (so they run faster, but can run without at the cost of running slower), or games that flat-out require it.

Sorry to say, I know of no such list

well off the top of my head,

The best example of 3Dnow that I know of is the Quake 2 patch that AMD wrote to market K6-2. A Voodoo2 is the best card to use with it.

Unreal is a showcase for MMX. The software renderer and their Galaxy audio engine. It also has some use of SSE and 3dnow.

Doom3 and Quake4 are highly optimized for SSE and SSE2. Part of the motivation was the need to support Geforce 4 MX which forces CPU processing of more things.

UT2004 has an amazing software renderer that is extremely optimized for MMX, 3dnow, SSE and SSE2.
