Hello all.

I am trying to get the game 'Football Manager 2' running, from 1988.

I do not have the original media, just a copy of the files from the disk.

Using dosbox 0.74 I get a "key disk not found" error when launching the fm2.com file.

I attempted to copy the files to a second folder and mount it as a floppy, hoping it would detect it as a floppy, but no luck.

I have set up somewhere around 1500 games in dosbox prior to this and have never found such a stubborn copy protection. Any help or guidance would be very appreciated!

A fix for this was recently committed in SVN. The issue also applies to Dragon Spirit, which uses a similar loader.

I had heard in the past that svn builds with dosbox routinely break working games - is that true?

edit: suppose it doesn't matter. I'll just set this game to only use this version of dosbox and keep the rest on the stable build. Thank you very much for the link. works like a charm now!

These are unsupported development builds so anything can happen.
