Hello!

I recently managed to install Network Q RAC Rally (the OLD version, not the new one... http://www.pauls-archive.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk … views/Rally.htm).

The game actually works under XP, although without sound and way too fast (but I refuse to use moslo and vdmsound now that we have the lovely dosbox).

However, dosbox only shows the intro, without sound, and then jumps back out to a dos prompt.

Has anyone else had any luck with this game?

Although we are at a DOSBox forum, i'll take the risk of asking if you tried it using VDMSound, reducing CPU cycles.

OK, but why would you close a door by refusing VDMSound? It's better to have several options available.

Yeah VDMSound does work but there's a bug in running it through Windows: whilst driving in a straight line feels correct, if you steer into the scenery the game speeds up to lightning fast and you can complete a stage in 6 seconds!

I expect it will probably operate better in DOSBox... if DOSBox supports it. At present it doesn't work.
