Hello everyone,
for quite a time I'm trying to play Crisis in the Kremlin on my computer(s), but nothing seems to work. I tried downloading the game from different sources, tried installing different versions of Dosbox, tried doing both on 4 different computers and every time after mounting and trying to run the game I got:
"I'm unable to allocate 0 bytes of memory"
I tried consulting with google or readme, however, all the steps I found do not work. I have to add that around one year ago, before I spilled liquid on my old computer and it stopped working, I just downloaded both the game and dosbox, mounted the game without doing nothing else and it worked perfectly.
Anyway, my IT sense tells me that if all the versions do not work on all 4 computers, something has to be done with dosbox. However, my IT sense is limited up to this very point.
Can someone help me?
Happy new year

This forum doesn't support abandonware. If that's how you downloaded it you'll have to ask at the site you got it from.

However since downloading a game can also mean a legitimate source these days...
In my experience 0 byte messages indicate a system has more memory than a program was designed to recognize. So try lowering it.

Well, as I wrote, there were several sites I tried to download the game from, and all of them behaved the same- I guess the problem isn't connected with the game itself then...
And how do you exactly lower the memory? If you mean by changing the memsize in the config file, that didn't work for me either.
Cheers

It is illegal to do that.
