Hi. Can anyone help me please. I have got World Rally Fever running in DOSBox 0.74 but it randomly hangs after rounds. In the DOSBox status window when it hangs it says; "Can't run code in this page!"

and on the frame of the DOSBox window, at the top it says;
"DOSBox 0.74, Cpu speed: max 100% cycles, Frameskip 0, Program: BOINK"

When I installed DOSBox I followed these instructions >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Kz6CGwhGIQ

I've tried re-installing the game a couple of times to no avail.

Can anyone help?

Thanks 😐

Alan

Ok, I've now unchecked the "read only" in the properties of the game and at first I thought this had cleared it as I got all the way to Italy in the Pro-Am tournament, but it's happened again. This time the message in the DOSBox Status window reads "BIOS INT14: unhandled call AH=A2 DX=270". The message at the top of the DOSBox window still reads the the same.

Try reducing the cycles. For some games, if the speed is too much, it can cause problems.

Thanks Peterferrie, this worked!!!! Hoorah! I have been through (and won) the Pro-Am tournament with no hang having fixed the cpu speed at 2000. At 1000 it was too slow and the graphics blurry, at 2000 it was ok, barely any difference to auto. I'm now gonna push it up a bit at 500 a time and see where it freezes. Fist however, I have to get on with life outside Rally. Thanks again.
