I am using DosBox to run WordPerfect 5.1 (I'll explain why if asked) and it all runs fine except that the control+function keys seem to belong to DosBox and not to WP. Or anyway some of them: Ctrl+F1, Ctrl+F2, belong to WP but others do something in DosBox, and from Ctrl+F6 they don't do anything from within WP. Any help?

Good advice, but I don;t know how to remap the key or cause it to bind to the WP command -- I don't know what to tell it to do instead of what it does. If I bind (say) Ctrl+6 to return "Ctrl+6" will it then cause Ctrl+6 to do what it does in WP and not in DosBox?

You want to remove existing possibly-overwriting mappings, not add new ones.
Also please don't ignore DOSFreak's posting.

MAybe it's the wrong thing to post here, but I got a keyboard file from the WPDOS site and got it connected to DosBox through D-Fend. Working good now (I think, so far). Thanks to all.

That's what DOSFreak hinted at.

I am in the same position, as a WordPerfect user. DosBox's ctrl-f4 gets in my way.
So I understand: I have to remove the ctrl-f4 mapping.
To that end, I started the key mapper, but I cannot discover how to select ctrl-f4.
I can select the ctrl-key on its own, and also the f4 on its own, but not their combination.
The readme file does not tell me how to do that.
Can anyone tell me?

Remember that DOSBox is only intended for games. It purposely does not include many things not required for games for reasons like increasing performance. For apps try vDos. http://sourceforge.net/projects/vdos/
