hey, its me again with the ja problem 🤣
anyhow, i installed the launcher, amazing utility.
i find the best settings for both ja1 and deadly games is to use the sound blaster 16 in setup, and then in the soundblaster tab on the launcher use micro$oft sound mapper (wave) with default buffer. it sounds exactly like back in 1994 🤣 and the tempo is faster than using the live waveout. thnx for ur help peeps
EDIT: using the midi settings that vlad suggests still messes up the music, it sounds much better in sound blaster with the microsoft sound mapper. jagged alliance was a very weird game, there were a lot of bugs when it first came out which were combed through, the developers seem to alwayse do soemthign different from everyone else so the game works better. i dunno what they did with the sound but its very different from what was encountered in normal games.
