Hi there. I'm currently setting up a retro PC with a widescreen monitor. I'm going to run Windows 98 on it, which doesn't seem to support widescreen resolutions so easily.
So I installed PowerStrip 3.90 to try and use a custom screen mode, but it doesn't seem to like my display adapter very much:

So it seems that this S3 Virge doesn't support custom modes. (Or perhaps that's not what that particular highlighted item means, but at least I can't seem to make any changes whatsoever. The "advanced timings" button is grayed out. I also tried PowerStrip 2.78, and it also tells me custom modes aren't supported on my hardware.)
Does anybody have a potential solution for me? I guess I could buy a new video card (actually I wouldn't mind having a bit of extra VRAM, iirc right now it's only 4MB). Anybody have a suggestion? Thanks 😀
