I remember that my grandmother had an all in one pc, it had a 1.44mb floppy disk drive above a probably X8 speed cd-rom drive, built in speakers, sound and mic jacks along with built in mic and volume wheel on the front, it had windows 2k and I think it was gateway, it was shaped like the iMac G3 and was like a beige or light grey color, I can't remember the specs of it because I was like 12 or 14 when she had it but I have a picture of it (well, technically it is in the background of a picture) and I can scan it and upload it so you can look, just wondering if you remember any company that made computers in the 2000's that were all in one, I can tell you that the monitor was manufactured by viewsonic, I remember that because I always found the colored birds they used for their logo to be interesting. It either had windows ME or 2000, I am almost 95% sure it had 2k

When you say "gateway" you're probably from the US. Actually most larger companies at least once made "all in one" PCs. They were especially popular in japan where Space might sometimes be valuable. I'd have immediately thought of an NEC, but in the US maybe not. Sony also produced a quite far range of such machines over the years.

I have a very faint recollection of seeing an ad for a similar all-in-one Compaq system. Searching on the net, I found these :

Well, actually, I remember the cd drive being directly under the floppy drive. Hmm, might of not been that, now that I think of it.

you were given a lot of info and even some leads to track down yourself, how about actually trying to do some of your own homework for a change?

I actually have one. Sadly it looks like the monitor wont come on. I havent really tried messing with it to be honest. its probably just a fuse or a popped cap. 😜

Its actually a REALLY cool machine! Its a shame the build quality was so shitty. I'm looking at someday puttering with it and getting it going. The one I have SOUNDS like it boots, but the screen doesnt come on. If I come across a fast celeron and a cheap 512mb so-dimm i might try to bring it to life.

I never thought I'd see a machine that's simultaneously so cool and so hideous at the same time.
