I'm trying to get the old old version of Wizardry: Proving Grounds working with DOSBox 0.74 on my Mac running OS 10.7.4.

The game requires two images files, a "master" disk and a "scenario" disk. I have both of these.

After starting DOSBox, I use the following command:

boot master.img scenario.img

This boots the master disk and everything seems to run great.

My PROBLEM is that I need to be able to switch between the two disk images. Back in 1984, this would involve swapping floppy disks.

The DOSBox manual says I can switch between these disk images using CTRL-F4. But that doesn't seem to work. I hit CTRL-F4 and I'm still prompted for the scenario disk.

Is there a different key combination to switch disk images when running DOSBox on Mac OS X? Is there any way I can tell for sure which disk image is being looked at?

Thanks!

Fn+CTRL+F4

If this doesn't work, too, try to press these keys while you're in fullscreen mode.

Has the SDL fullscreen problem of Lion been fixed in the meanwhile?

dunno. I saw that bug report on sf.net, but the crash was inside libsdl.

dosbox has a copy of lisbsdl inside on mac os X (I think). So that still uses the old code.

Thank you all for the informations about fullscreen.
When I write a hint about using fullscreen (my first post above),
I shouldn't forget it has been broken when Lion iOS has been introduced...

Thanks, Dominus, for uploading a fixed version! 😀
