i don't have the game on cd rom. it was downloaded straight onto my C: drive.

how do i configure the sound/graphics settings?

i have the official game on cd rom, but the installation was far too complicated to install the game, hence the reason i downloaded it.

even after the reading the installation guides i still couldn't get it to work from the cd rom, so i gave up and downloaded it.

is this the cause of the errors then?
