In mounting my Fleet Defender Gold CD, I found that all the install files were for windows.

However, there is a folder titled F14GOLD on the disc, and I found that by copying it to my harddrive I can launch the game just fine.

The one problem is there is no sound and the setup files all claim to be windows only. Are there any tips for dealing this? Thanks

it looks it is for Windows 3.x
so just install Windows 3.x in dosbox

My goal was to get it running without needing Win 3.1 as it runs perfectly fine without Windows. I suppose I could attempt an instal in win 3.1 and see if I can copy the config files it creates over to the dos folder and see if it will run with those.

This worked. The sound setup program was win 3.1 only. So after running that install, all necessary files were created and the game was then launchable. I remember having to do this for Spider-Man and the Sinister Six as well last year.
