I am trying out the taewoong build for the first time as I need the ability to set the system date within dosbox (the BBS door game I am trying to play doesn't like it being the year 2012).

I read that this build allows you to set the date.

However, immediatly upon launch it attempts to mount my c:\ root as the c:\ and warns me it is not such a great idea to give dosbox root level access to the c:\ like that... which I agree with.

I have not had this problem with the standard build, so I was curious as to how to disable it.

I haven't tried that build...but probably edit the autoexec section of the .conf file that it reads...

That would be my assumption as well, however there are no mount commands there. I have my own conf file I am calling from the command line that is attempting to mount a local directory, and it ignores this in favor of mounting the c: every time.

FYI, vanilla SVN builds allow you to change the date with the DATE command, you don't have to resort to an experimental build for that.

thank you ripsaw. i didn't know the svn could do that. problem solved, as the svn doesn't insist on mounting the c:.
