And you lick the primary link:

Then the copy of xcopy that is sitting right there is from 2008.

Now please tell me how I should know there is a more recent copy when that is how the site directs you?

Look at the March 2009 release date on the first page, look at the "last modified" date on the directories, the latest version is "obviously" in the one marked March 2009, remember that the first page said version 1.4a is the latest.

Anyway, stick with the MS-DOS 5 version for best compatibility. 😉
