I've created a bootable Win3.1 image by following the Win3.1 guide and the BootImage guide.

I see that I should use discexplorer to insert install files into the bootable image when I want to install things.

This suggests to me that it is not possible to mount a drive within a bootable drive, is that correct?

You can't use cdrom mounts when booting in official builds of DOSBox because IDE/ATAPI devices are not supported, although there are some unofficial patches that add such support to varying degrees. If you have an ISO (no audio tracks) then you can mount it within the emulation as a virtual cdrom using SHSUCDHD, but your HD image has to be large enough to hold the ISO.

That said, you only really need to boot for Win9X; Win3 works with local drive mounts in DOSBox, so why boot?

Just wanted to see if it would fix a program I was having a problem with. I submitted a topic on it.

Heh, you've made quite a few threads, and I recall one for a Win3 racing game, but thought that was resolved. Which game / issue isn't resolved?
