How'd you get Tyrian to work? I couldn't get it to run under any of the settings in DosBox (12.11.2003 build).
Mostly it still gives me an Invalid EXE error.

well just wait. The cvs changes a lot lately. So 2 daily builds can look delayed.
There are lot's of changes each day.
games work from one hour to an other.

like that zone 66 was broken 24 hours ago and 12 hours ago it was fixed again
so it goes on and on

tyrian got fixed 24 hours ago. luckely it stayed fixed 12 hours ago 😉

All I get for Tyrian is "Loader error (0003): out of internal tables"

If Tyrian does work though, you'll have to excuse me for a while as I spooge everywhere 😁 😁 😁

Does this make Jazz Jackrabbit work too? As I recall it behaved the same as Tyrian.

Jazz Jackrabbit is playable too but has some annoying graphic glitches.

Red Alert was playable until two days ago.
It is currently broken (even after a zone66 fix). Same for C&C (games compiled with watcom compiler).

The humans now seems to run without problems now , although you have to set number of cycles = +-4500 :

w00t, as I suspected, the fix for Tyrian also fixes Xatax! Looks like 0.61 will be a good release for shooter fans 😁

And of course Tyrian support means you get Destruct!

This should make some folks happy...it's überslow though and I've only tested the demo version (don't have the full). I can't get the sound effects working either, only music. You also need to increase memsize in dosbox.conf or it'll be even slower and crash when you start a game.

wow. current CVS dosbox plays doom2.exe almost fluidly with cpu cycles ratcheted up to 18300 and low detail mode on. (and yes I DO have a real reason for doing this, thanks v. much :>). thanks a lot dosbox guys...

What the...how the hell do you get 18300 CPU cycles? My peak is 4000-6000 and I have a P4 1.8...

I got an amd 1800 xp and my peak with debug builds is 7-9 and with optimized builds
9-11 k

And pentium 4's with their longer pipeline hate the cpu emulator more 😀
