In the game you must first get passed the copy protection to play.
in other games i have downloaded the copy protection is disabled in the sense that any option you choose works, yet for this game you actually have to get the right answer.

does anyone know of a way around this or can you point me in the direction of a version that bypasses the copy protection?

Of course another reason to get the CD version is that it is also a talkie.

yah i have been hesitant to dl any game over 10mb to save space on my already full hd. but yah downloaded it and works no protection!

Any ideas for all the leisure suit larry copy protections? same answer?

No/ The only one that is different is LSL6, which neither one had copy protection. The CD version had not only speech, but also higher res graphics. It is possible to bypass the copy protection of the earlier games with modifying a game script.
