All telepaths are on holyday.
Or the version of telepathy.dll is too old...

I suggest you turn off annoying color formatting of your posts and give us the error message. Or even better give us the mountings you did and whether you used the same mountings for installing the game.

But get rid of annoying color formatting. It's better you avoid making people puke when you want their help

1. Make sure you've enabled EMS in dosbox.conf
2. Make sure you're actually running the DOS version and not the Windows 3.0 version.

I've just donwloaded the last version of DOSBox I've found and followed the basic instructions to play an old game with it.

1 - I'm gonna make sure of that.
2 - Launching it on Windows (even in compatible mode) doesn't start.

If you owned the game you'd know if it was the version you played on the 8088. Clearly, this is not that. You downloaded the Windows version. You tried a Windows game on DOSBox. A message tells you it requires Microsoft Windows.

Now, what is wrong here?

Are you running the 32-bit version, or the 64-bit version of Windows 7?

You're trying to run the Windows 3.0 version. If you still have it, you could try installing Windows 3.1 on Dosbox and run it from there. Dosbox itself only plays DOS games, thus you need the DOS version to run it in DOSbox.

I used my copy (I've done a backup of all my fovourite floppy games when floppy became old).

Using D-fend the game starts... but it will go down in speed pretty soon 🙁
I've tried to "overclock" Dosbox using ctrl+F12 but nothing changes.
I toght it was a "not enough RAM" matter... but other games like Fuzzy's world and even Battle chess 4000 (the 1994 version) works good.
So I've tried some Battle chess roms founded with Google... but still have the same problem.
Any ideas?
