Ok... I've got all the updates installed for VDMSound, and still get the following error when I try to run Dungeon Hack (I was able to successfully run the sound configuration first):

"VDMSound 1.0.4 - DOS Prompt
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
CS:0000 IP:0002 OP:c6 0f 8b 01 70 Choose 'Close' to terminate the application"

(copy of the message is included below)

I know that some of you have been able to get this game to work... Can anyone offer some pointers?

My system is a Sony Vaio P4/1.4GHz, with an integrated soundcard (SoundMAX), running Windows 2000, SP 4.

If you were running VDMSound 1, I'd smack you upside the head.
An error in the 16 bit MS-DOS subsystem is not caused by VDMSound. It is a problem with the NTVDM.

Yes, it’s my fault.
