Unless you made changes to the preference file Dosbox DOES NOT automount anything.
When you write that you mounted your virtual drives as the c drive it makes it natural to ask what you mean with virtual drives. So what is the mount command for the cd installation - you need that too when you play the game.

It does yup. Thats where I currently have the games I'm trying to play. When I do try and install a game within the dosgames folder it creates another folder within it called DOSGAMES.

I have edited my dosbox preferences so I don't need to mount every time. Sorry, should have mentioned that. However I do not mount when trying to install the CD? Would I need the game CD in order to play the game then? As I don't understand how that would work when trying to run it on a mobile device?

Sorry if the questions I ask seem incredibly noobish. Im still trying to get to grips with it all.

If you had followed the guide you wouldn't create a dosgames folder inside the dosgames folder 😉 but as long as you remember to mount the upper one and then cd to the lower one all is good.
And yes, some games require the cd and unless you (now all uppercase since I already told you twice) MAKE AN IMAGE OF THE CD AND MOUNT IT VIA IMGMOUNT you can't play them.
