I found a guy who sold an AWE32 CT2760 for 50 NOK (around 9 dollars) and I ofc bought it.

I don't have any machine to put it in, but I was thinking of replacing the Soundblaster 16 CT1770 in my 486 machine with it.

So my question is, what do I in practice gain from this? Are there any games that are superior with AWE synth compared to MIDI on a SC55mkII? I have an intelligent midi device, so I won't be using the MPU-401 on the AWE32 (and thus experiencing the hanging note bug).

If on this AWE the OPL3 clone is routed through teh EMU8K you can apply chorus/reverb on FM-Synthesis.

I guess the easiest way is to just set after effects and hear if they apply also to FM.
