Problem running Miracle Piano on OSX w/ USB-Midi connection

So, the good news is that I got my original Miracle Piano software to work in DosBox.
Even more amazing is that under Audio Midi Setup on my OSX, when I "Test Setup", the computer beeps when I push any key on the Miracle Piano. However, when I run the Miracle Software, it doesn't seem to notice (or care) that I'm pushing buttons on the keyboard.
I'll take any suggestions.

Update: I got the Miracle Keyboard to work with Garage band. Unfortunately, the program still doesn't talk with the keyboard.

Piano keyboard connected through the usb/midi cable? Dosbox only supports midi out, not midi in.

While it is a thorough snd generally well written FAQ it nowhere mentions a MIDI keyboard. Only a serial one (and I'm not sure how welk usb/serial adapters work with dosbox on os X).
