Abit BH6 for Slot1 then. Used to own that sweety with a Celly300A so I'm not a stranger there.

For your purposes, any BX Slot 1 will do. I'm not sure what CPU's you intend to use on your Slot 1, not all Slot 1 BX boards support Coppermines, but the majority of them do.

Anyway, I'm not sure which CPU's you already own, but depending on which CPU's you exactly want, most should be easy to come by in the second hand market (or Ebay or cpu-world.com). It's only some that are hard to find.

I'm not sure what your budget is. If you can throw a virtually unlimited amount of cash into this, theres hardly anything you can't buy of course 😜

May I ask what you have so far?

Whats missing in your collections?

I have to get back to this question. I'm not much further on deciding which motherboards to get for Slot 1 and Socket 370.
For slot 1, a 440BX motherboard seems obvious but my problem is this puppy. A Katmai 600MHz cpu with 133MHz fsb. Since there's no official support for that with 440BX, it will run the AGP out of spec and I don't really want to do that. I could go for an Abit SH6 with i815e chipset which, according to this site, supports "Intel PentiumII / III / Celeron slot1 processor up to 1GHz based on 66/100/133MHz FSB". But does that include Covington's and Katmai's? And where in the hell am I going to find this board, it seems to be very absent from ebay and the likes.
So what other options do I have for Slot 1? Dropping the 133MHz FSB cpu's? I don't want to do that because I want to find out if Coppermine benefits more from the higher FSB than Katmai.
I mentioned the Abit SH6 with i815e chipset because it has a socket 370 counterpart. Which will give me the same chipset for Slot 1 and Socket 370 and that's a good thing because it won't influence test-results. But, this Abit board is hard to find too.
Any clear insights into what I should do? I really want to test those Katmai's with 133MHz FSB without overclocking the AGP port. Perhaps a board with Via Apollo Pro 133A chipset? But which one?

Nevermind that rambling of mine. More research and everything is clear now; Abit BE6 and Asus TUSL2(-C) should do the trick.
