Wrote an article... perhaps quite well known but whatever, it was more of a test 😀

btw, how do you guys create pages? I have an account, but I can't find anything that looks like "New Page" link or something...

By typing the desired name into the search bar.

I put together a list of categories/pages on the main page. I see we have a PowerVR page already. 😀

Fixed the front page 3dfx link so it hits your page. Wiki is case sensitive.

Going by the main page: why make it purely about hardware? Maybe it would be quite reasonable to include other topics, f.e. configuration or specific game advices, since a lot of that information is just as scattered across this forum as the hardware part.

Where would one put complete computer configuration, such as for example HP vectra XU 5, how would structure of the article look like?

Should we to construct a blank (write guide) or something?
For example:

1. Short info...
2. History of origin...
3. Components...
4. CPU / MoBo / GPU / etc...

Something like that.

Nothing is set in stone on there. Game guides sound like a great idea.

I just put the main page hardware stuff up as a catalyst for new article work.

I'd like to see guides for building computers to run games from certain eras, or guides to build the best machine for a specific game.

What a good idea! A wiki! Tomorrow, I'm gonna go take some pics! 😁

Edit:Ok, I saw someone had posted a picture of a Socket 4 CPU, so I decided to write a little article about it 😁
I tried to write it from the perspective of a retro-nerd, no need to create a mirror copy of wikipedia, right?

Edit2:I got a writing bug 🤣

It's all based on page links so just put the link to your page on the page you think it belongs on. You can edit any page you want to.

Ok, will give it a go. I just wrote a small contribution to the Socket 5/7/Super 7 page 😀

Edit:Ok, I 'think' I moved the article from the Intel page to the appropriate pages in the Slot 1/Socket 370 and the Socket 4 pages. Getting tired 🤣 due to the time of night here in Europe 😜

Be sure to add to the soundcard area a Aureal A3d entry if you have not done so yet.

Now all I need to know is how to add a picture to the articles I wrote 🤣, I already uploaded a pic but don't have a clue how to add a thumbnail with the clickylink to the larger picture.
