I want to know..

There are bioses for 286, 386, 486 and so on..

But if i compare some motherboards, like 486ers.. I see that the sticker on the bios chip looks the same like on other 486 motherboards..

I know there are a few little differently.

Like AMIs and awards. But if they are using the same like sticker on it. Would they be convertible with other look a like bioses? So what i would to say..

Is a bios rom specially written for a brand and type of the board??
Or would just changeble with a same type of rom?

~ At least it can do black and white~

There was a discussion about this here

Basically you might have varied success trying to run a motherboard with a different boards BIOS.
Older boards with very little integration or chipset features would be more likely to work. Once you start getting 386/486 or later boards with integrated IDE, serial etc and with more complex chipsets odds are things wouldn't work.
