Nah, I was wrong. I asked about it on a forum and got a link for another topic. Guys here (http://www.phantom.sannata.ru/forum/index.php?t=7401&st=0) say it's a "32-bit external memory card" made for early 386 for use with DIP memory to make motherboards with huge amounts of memory more compact. That was before SIMM memory was even possible due to technology level. They say, such boards were inserted into a special riser card, so that a board with such memory modules installed looked like a hamburger 😀

Here are some drawings of compatible mobos:

The first one is even featuring SIMM slots for compatibility. The huge amount of cache sockets coupled with low maximum supported cache (64KB) shows us that the board was indeed very early and pricey, perhaps, for some special use.

That's pretty Intresting
these cards are huge though. As big as some motherboards.

Except that a normal 386 desktop board isn't going to use ECC memory. Parity, yes, but ECC wasn't commonly supported in PCs until well into the Pentium II era.

I'd guess it's probably for some sort of workstation system, maybe HP or DEC or something. Is there any sort of FCC ID number on either board? That could at least help determine the manufacturer.

I've seen that Compeo mark on things before, and though there's not much information to be found about them, I think they're probably just a company that manufacture(s/d) bare PCBs rather than the brand of the component as a whole.
