I just realized something stupid. IDE cables comes in different fashions. I'm not talking about 40 wire/80 wire difference. Later IDE cables have one pin missing/disabled, so cannot be connected to older connectors with no missing pins.

How can we solve this problem, any suggestions? Is there any way to find specifically old IDE cables?

Break the pin off of the older connector if it isn't being used?

Use a hot needle or a Dremel to make a hole in the spot on the cable that is missing one?

Collect enough cables so that you have enough of whatever time you might need?

Collect enough cables, yeah , right...🤣 ıt's so easy locally, you know. By the way, I have tons already, problem is everyone one them has a blocked pin, except three, and I need four.

Dremel option sounds much better, thanks a lot!... 😀
