I'll keep the sound theme going.
I think I bagged this thing out on a thread around here once but I saw this one for sale recently, new in box for a few bucks, so I thought I'd give it a go.
I bought one of these circa 1995 and wasn't all that impressed. It's a NuReality "Vivid 3D Pro" which gives you "3D surround sound with only 2 speakers". I can't remember what I paid for it originally but it was relatively expensive for a high school kid so I was expecting a lot, and I wasn't impressed with the results. But I was probably expecting proper surround sound "like at the movies", and with the awful speakers I would have been using back then, it didn't seem to do much at all.
But I must say I’m impressed this time round. With my modern 2.0 speakers (nice little Edifier things), it really does add depth to the sound they produce. It’s hard to describe the effect – it’s certainly not directional surround sound of course, I’m not hearing footsteps behind me. But the source of the sound no longer seems to be the white boxes next to my monitor, but rather all around, and that’s pretty cool when running through the dim hallways of DOOM.

I have a Miro Hiscore 3D, it's the same as yours and by the look of the cable i don't know if it's easy to come by...
Are you talking about the 'VGA IN' cable? If so - I don't have the VGA IN one. Finding the Canopus card was hard enough as it is. 😜

Yes, that's the cable. Well, i wish you luck to find one.
You could always just make your own cable out of a scrap VGA cord. The pinout has already been worked out, and the mini-DIN 9 connectors can be found on eBay for ~$5.
@ Artex - did the Pure3D come with any software? I'm still trying to track down the D3D version of A-10 Tank Killer 2, which I think came bundled with the card..

Nope - just the bare card.

It's just for SLI right?

Nope. It's for image passthrough. Without it that card is useless.

Hmm. I will have to track one of these down for sure. I'll get in touch with the seller.
That seems to be it. And cheap!

How do I know if it's the right pinout though? Sorry, not too good with this kinda thing. Just because the DB15 and mini-din 9 connectors look right, the actual pinout could be different right?
Well it seemed to good to be true...
