I don't know what "slim size" is. The CRT monitor I plan to keep forever is a nice (15"?) black Samsung model that I got as a graduation present from college in 2003 or so. I only used it for 1-2 years before buying a cheap, crappy, heavy 24" CRT for $20 followed by a nice LCD. It's an average footprint for a CRT, though.

The thing that makes me not miss CRTs is the fact that every damn one of them that I've ever used (TV or monitor) has some kind of convergence issue that cannot be fixed by adjusting controls. LCDs just don't have that problem, because they have discrete pixels instead of hand-aligned high-voltage electron guns shooting towards your face.

I may be wrong, but I think there's no such thing as a slim size CRT. Every single one of them is huge when compared to an LCD.

Well... by "slim size" I mean slim as possible. As there where some CRTs with shorter tubes than usual - of curse you can't compare it to LCDs or regular slim size CRTs that are really uncommon.

well, flat screen CRT's always *felt* slimmer at any rate..
